Bangkok is the home to a rather large Japanese expat population. There are several Japanese bars, shops, and supermarkets throughout the city. Don Don Doki, a popular Japanese Supermarket, recently opened up downtown, bringing a large piece of Japan to the expats in the City of Angels. A large selection of Japanese sake, or rice wine, is imported directly from the Land of the Rising Sun.
