016 - Sake Don Don Doki @ The Market, Bangkok, Thailand Bangkok is the home to a rather large Japanese expat population. There are several Japanese bars, shops, and supermarkets throughout the city. Don Don Doki, a popular Japanese Supermarket, recently opened up downtown, bringing a large piece of Japan to the expats in the City of Angels. A large selection of Japanese sake, or rice wine, is imported directly from the Land of the Rising Sun.

Some of the canals are still used for public transport across Bangkok. Others, like the canal near my home, exist mostly for the purposes of drainage and to smell bad.
